Ford has confirmed that the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor will debut on February 22nd. The high-performance pickup will make its appearance and become available for sale in late 2022. Although Ford has been busy working on its EV lineup, the Blue Oval has made the time to ensure that its gasoline models continue to represent the automaker and its Built Ford Tough slogan. Looking at the all-electric F-150 Lightning and Mach-E, it’s clear they have been well-received, especially given the large number of pre-orders. This huge interest doesn’t mean Ford fans don’t still want gasoline vehicles, however, especially powerful and capable ones. With the all-new Ranger, Ford will be making sure that the pickup comes highly capable and rugged. As part of the Raptor family, Ford will also ensure the pickup gets all the power it needs to take on the toughest of terrains.

2023 Ford Ranger Raptor to Debut Soon

The long-awaited 2023 Ford Ranger is almost here. A highly capable variant, the Ranger Raptor, will follow. Known for their high performance, Ford’s Raptor family consists of an entire lineup of rugged and highly-capable vehicles. A defining feature of this family is the ability to navigate the toughest of terrain given the improvements and upgrades to features like the suspension and chassis. For fans of the Raptor family, they will be happy to know that Ford has already begun teasing the new Ranger Raptor variant. Based on the images and accompanying video, it’s safe to say that there’s a powerful turbocharged gasoline engine powering the rugged pickup.

Ford hasn’t released too much information about the new 2023 Ranger Raptor, but based on the Ford Bronco Raptor, it’s likely that Ford will make use of similar equipment. This includes the 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 that powers the 2022 Bronco Raptor. Ford has said fans can expect the Bronco Raptor to feature 400 horsepower, so it’s a good bet that the Ranger Raptor will feature a similar amount.

Consumers can also expect the Ranger Raptor pickup to feature off-road equipment like internal bypass semi-active dampers, springs, and 17-inch wheels wrapped in off-road tires. The Raptor variant will also feature a 10-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system. We’ll be staying tuned for more information, but so far, it looks like the 2023 Ranger Raptor will certainly live up to its name.
