Ford Begins Production of 2022 Ford Expedition & Lincoln Navigator

Ford will be starting production of the 2022 Ford Expedition and 2022 Lincoln Navigator. Both the 2022 Expedition and 2022 Navigator have received new updates for the 2022 model year so consumers should enjoy a host of the latest technologies and driver-assist features. As of late, Ford has been concentrating on EVs like the F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E. While the Lightning pickup and Mach-E SUV have seen a lot of consumer interest, Ford wants to continue to provide its loyal customers with the best vehicles. This means continuing to update its lineup whether it be gasoline, hybrid, or EV. We’ll be taking a look at what’s new for the 2022 Expedition and Navigator. From what we’ve seen, there are updates to both the exterior and interior. As production ramps up, consumers will be happy to know the wait is almost over. 

Production of 2022 Expedition & Navigator Begins

Ford will be starting the production of the 2022 Ford Expedition and 2022 Lincoln Navigator. For the 2022 model year, Ford will be updating both family-sized SUVs with the latest technology and driver-assist features. Ford has previously teased both SUVs. Now they will finally become available for purchase. The Blue Oval expects to see both vehicles launch in the first quarter of 2022. Production will take place at Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant.

The 2022 Ford Expedition will come equipped with new exterior styling such as LED headlights, taillights, and wheel choices. The family-sized SUV will feature a 12-inch infotainment screen with SYNC 4, a 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster, and Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free driving software. The large SUV will also come with Ford’s Power-Up software which allows for over-the-air updates. The 2022 Expedition will start at an MSRP of $52,775 (plus destination fee).

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator will also come equipped with new exterior styling. This includes a refreshed front-end design with a new signature grille. This comes flanked by standard adaptive projector headlights. In the rear, the luxury SUV sees new 3D taillights. Inside the 2022 Navigator, consumers will note a new 13.2-inch infotainment screen with SYNC 4. There’s also a 12-inch digital gauge cluster and a 5.8-inch digital climate control module for second-row passengers. As for the price, the 2022 Navigator will start at an MSRP of $76,710 (plus destination fee). Consumers looking forward to the 2022 Expedition and Navigator can expect to see the large SUVs available in the beginning of 2022.
