Ford Premieres the New F-150 Lightning Flash

Ford recently premiered the release of a new F-150 Lightning trim called the Flash. The new Lightning trim features advanced technology and offers most features enthusiasts have grown to love, all at under $70,000. The Lightning Flash adds onto the XLT trim to incorporate popular tech capabilities such as an extended-range battery, which has an EPA-estimated range of 320 miles, the availability of Ford BlueCruise for hands-free highway driving, and a 15.5-inch touchscreen for easy interaction and navigation. The F-150 Lightning Flash is perfect for those who crave an electric powertrain, advanced tech features, and the proven capability of the F-150 to handle anything from people to pets and gear, all at a more convenient price point.

The F-150 Lightning Flash includes version 1.2 of Ford’s BlueCruise technology, which features Lane Change Assist. The lane change assist feature helps drivers change lanes hands-free by simply tapping the turn signal when the way is clear. The In-Lane Repositioning feature helps keep the vehicle in its lane while moving slightly away from adjacent cars. Further, the Lightning Flash will receive over-the-air software updates to enhance its capabilities.

Ford also provides a flexible option for BlueCruise. For instance, fans of the safety suite can activate BlueCruise anytime during their vehicle ownership journey via a subscription. The Ford feature can be initiated at the time of purchase, annually, or even monthly, and used only when the customer feels it necessary. Further, Blue Oval enthusiasts can enjoy a complimentary 90-day trial of BlueCruise from the day they purchase their vehicle.
