Ford will start delivering its all-new 2022 F-150 Lightning to customers. The Blue Oval has been working on the production of the all-electric pickup truck and now Ford will move onto the delivery phase. Since its reveal, the F-150 Lightning has amassed a lot of reservation orders. Many consumers have been excited to get their hands on one of the most powerful electric pickups available. Ford will be delivering the F-150 Lightning to those customers who have placed reservation orders first. Soon after the all-electric pickup will become available for purchase at dealerships across the country.

Ford Will Begin Delivery of All-New F-150 Lightning

The all-new 2022 F-150 Lightning will finally be available for purchase. Ford initially opened up reservation orders upon its debut, but now the all-electric pickup will be available to anyone. Those patient customers who first reserved an F-150 Lightning will receive theirs first. Ford will also deliver the electric pickup to fleet customers. Ford first announced its production of the 2022 F-150 Lightning in April of 2022. Those who ordered the all-electric pickup will see theirs shortly as evidenced by one Michigan customer who received theirs on May 26th. Dealerships will be given an assortment of electric pickups to sell.

The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning will come equipped with a dual-motor setup that will provide 564 horsepower and 775lb-ft of torque. The electric pickup will also feature strong towing capability with 10,000 pounds of towing capacity and 2,000 pounds of payload. For its range, the all-electric pickup will have an EPA-estimated range of 230 miles. Those wanting more range can opt for a range-extending battery which will increase the battery range to 300 miles.

Inside the F-150 Lightning, owners will note a 15.5-inch touchscreen that serves as the infotainment screen. This touchscreen will grant owners access to over-the-air updates as well as Ford’s SYNC4A connectivity service. The electric pickup will also feature Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free driving feature which uses driver-facing cameras and radar sensing technology. At its base price, the 2022 F-150 Lighting will start at an MSRP of $39,974 (plus destination fee). Ford will produce about 40,000 units of the 2022 F-150 Lightning this year. The Blue Oval will eventually increase its production amount to 150,000 units by the end of 2023. Those interested in the Ford F-150 Lightning should be on the lookout for Ford’s next online reservation order list as the pickup sold out incredibly fast when it first opened.
