Ford Takes First Place for Best-Selling Brand In The First Quarter of 2023

April 13th, 2023 by

Ford’s sales improved by 10.7 percent this first quarter, making Blue Oval America’s best-selling brand.

Increased Sales

The Ford Blue, Ford Pro, Model E, and Lincoln overall sales totaled 475,906, up 10.1 percent with an estimated share up over a year ago. Ford’s EV sales grew 41.0 percent withinside the first quarter on sales of 10,866 electric-powered vehicles. F-150 Lightning’s sales totaled 4,291 pickups, with manufacturing potential moves on course to hit an annual manufacturing run rate of 150,000 this year. Last year, sales of the Ford Pro of the E-Transit, America’s best-selling electric-powered van, climbed 62.7 percent. Reflecting downtime on the plant for modifications to increase production, Mustang Mach-E sales had been down.

The Mustang Mach-E drives like no other automobile. This high-performing automobile is all-electric powered, so say goodbye to having to constantly get gas. With road convenience, the car can access the BlueOval charge network, so there’ll be no fear about where to get a charge. With so much dedicated space, this automobile holds five people comfortably. With the E-latch, this Mustang Mach-E is capable of using the fob or the driver’s phone to open and lock the electric vehicle. Production will not be significantly affected even though the automaker is undertaking a lot of terrific advancement.

“Ford is off to a fast start to the year.  Ford’s sales growth and investments are a direct result of strong customer demand across our truck, SUV, and electric vehicle segments.  And this year’s highly anticipated new product launches with Super Duty, Escape, Mustang, and Ranger, will only add to this momentum,” said Andrew Frick, vice president of sales distribution and trucks.

With no surprise to anyone, Ford has once again been named the best-selling brand for Trucks, Vans, Broncos, Large SUVs, EVs, and Mustangs. Sales surged across Ford’s areas of strength, including trucks (up 19.6 percent); three-row SUVs (up 47.6 percent); Bronco brand (up 18.3 percent); Ford Pro Transit van (up 86.0 percent); Mustang (up 5.2 percent) and electric vehicles (up 41.0 percent).

Ford’s Kansas City Assembly Plant will add a third crew in April to increase manufacturing for Ford Pro of the best-selling Transit and E-Transit vans to aid this momentum. Ford is also increasing manufacturing at production plant life across North America to satisfy strong consumer calls for cars, including the Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, Bronco Sport, and Maverick. Ford Explorer became the best-selling, three-row midsize SUV in America, and the red-hot Bronco brand noticed a sales increase of 18.3 percent, which includes a 37.6 percent rise for Bronco. Additionally, Expedition sales surged.

BlueCruise, Ford’s driver-assist technology, is now available in 186,000 vehicles; consumers have accumulated more than 55 million hands-free miles driven with the technology. Consumer Reports rated Ford BlueCruise as the highest quality active driving assistance system.
