Ford to Open Atlanta Research Center In Attempt to Scout New Talent

Ford is set to open an all-new research and innovation center in Atlanta, Georgia. The Blue Oval is hoping this new creative environment will attract high levels of tech talent that will further advance its digital transformation. Since debuting the all-electric F-150 Lightning, the Blue Oval has been very busy with its EV initiative. Releasing powerful and efficient electric vehicles like the F-150 Lightning and Mach-E has granted Ford a decisive edge in the emerging market. The automaker is hoping to continue its streak with more EVs like the Ford Maverick Lightning. With the new Ford Atlanta Research and Innovation Center (FARIC), Ford will be able to continue its EV dominance by recruiting a variety of experts from different fields including software. Ford Opens New Research Center in Atlanta

Ford will be developing a new research and innovation center in Atlanta, Georgia. The Blue Oval is hoping to attract new high-tech talent to work at its facility. If Ford can achieve this, it will move one step closer to becoming an innovative electric vehicle company. The Ford Atlanta Research and Innovation Center (FARIC) will lead the automaker into a new digital age of automated and connected EVs. About the FARIC, Ford executive director for Ford Research Jim Buczkowski said, 

“Ford is transitioning from a traditional automotive company to a digital products and services company driven by software innovation,” said Jim Buczkowski. “There’s a high demand for tech talent across industries, and we have an opportunity to create non-traditional career pathways to attract and develop the expertise needed to stay competitive.”

Ford is aiming to turn its FARIC into a creative center focused on innovation. The automaker wants to create a diverse team of talent that will bring like minds from different backgrounds together. Ford wants to help increase representation in the workforce by developing a team that reflects the communities and customers it serves. If successful, Ford will solidify its status as a brand that’s open to everyone. The Blue Oval’s new workspace will promote team collaboration by offering employees an open and accessible floor plan. The facility will feature individual focus spaces, sit/stand desks, and booth-style spaces where employees can take phone calls. By creating a comfortable and accepting work environment, Ford is hoping to accelerate toward an innovative future.
