Ford’s December 2022 Sales Reveals a Successful Year for the F-Series

The Blue Oval does it again; the distinctions continue to mount as the Ford F-Series December 2022 sales demonstrate over 650,000 pickups sold. In addition, the F-Series sales reveal that the pickup has earned the title and wears the crown of America’s favored truck for 46 consecutive years. Furthermore, the F-Series is the best-selling truck for the 41st year in a row. Christmas day (December 25, 2022) must’ve been an exciting time for many Ford enthusiasts, as the American automaker’s sales report proves its best sales month, with over 75,000 units sold. As the new year progresses (2023), the Blue Oval’s future never looked so promising; orders for the all-new ‘23MY Super Duty transcends beyond 245,000 trucks. Ford also encountered an increase in market shares totaling 0.7 percent compared to the 2021 calendar year. In addition, Ford’s ‘23MY vehicles total a chart-busting 329,000 units. Furthermore, 23’s sales surpass the ‘22MY by 69.6 percent. 

The 2022 Ford Bronco also exhibited a prosperous year, with over 10,000 units sold. The Bronco’s sales comprise 36.4 percent of the SUV segment. Additionally, Ford’s December 2022 sales report demonstrates that the last month of the year was one of the most lucrative months for the Bronco since its re-launch. When 2022 concluded, the Ford Bronco’s sales increased to over 117,000 units. 

Ford’s Electric Segment is Unrivalled

The Blue Oval 2022 sales for its EV segment broke new records, with over 61,000 units sold. As Ford’s electric vehicles grow in popularity, America’s favorite automaker becomes the second-largest EV manufacturer, inching closer to Tesla’s throne. Ford’s sales rose an astonishing 126 percent for 2022 and earned over 223 percent for December 2022. 

Then there’s America’s favorite EV pickup, the Ford F-150 Lightning, which outperformed itself in December 2022. Even with the all-electric truck premiering in May of 2022, the Lightning finished the year with astounding numbers, over 15,000 units sold. Another Ford EV with an impeccable sales record for 2022 is the workhorse, the E-Transit van, with 6,500 units sold. Seventy-three percent of the electric van sales comprise the electric vehicle van segment. In December 2022, sales for the Ford workhorse totaled 689. 

The Mustang Mach-E climbed to an astonishing 103 percent in December 2022, with over 4,700 units sold. In 2022, the Ford Mustang Mach-E rose to 45.4 percent in sales, with over 39,000 units sold.
