Trucklett Meets Truck

2022 Santa Cruz

The All-new 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz is a compact SUV married to a truck bed, sharing the same platform as the Hyundai Tucson.

The Hyundai Santa Cruz offers several variations for Hyundai consumers. Hyundai also offers several different engine choices. The standard, however, offers a 2.5-liter inline-4 that generates 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. The highest trim, the Limited, utilizes a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 producing 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque.

The standard Santa Cruz offers 2.5-liter inline-4 and 8-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic and FWD.

The two drivetrain choices to choose from are front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD); AWD costs an additional $1,500.

The Santa Cruz is available in six trims:

  • SE
  • SEL
  • SEL Premium
  • SEL Premium AWD
  • Limited
  • Limited AWD

Inside the Santa Cruz, the Hyundai trucklett has an 8-inch color touchscreen display system equipped with Apple Carplay or Android Auto connectivity. The 2022 Santa Cruz also carries five passengers.

The Cruz’s truck bed has a 4.3-foot composite-molded bed carrying a payload of 1,748 pounds, but this Hyundai can tow upwards of 3,500 pounds.

2022 Ford Ranger

The 2021 Ranger doesn’t survive remembrance next to the 2022 Ranger. The new midsize truck provides a turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-4 cylinder engine with 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a 10-speed automatic transmission proving dominion is a gear shift away.

The 2022 Ranger features SuperCrew or SuperCab options with a choice of bed lengths to match. So consumers known for carrying passengers regularly, the SuperCrew comes highly recommended.

Two fan favorites sure to leave any passenger falling in love, Tow-Optimized Blind Spot Monitoring, and the Bang & Olufsen 10-speaker Audio System.

The vividly citric Ranger is designed to quench the unquenched and add life to that bland road that lacked magnetic intensity. Look at the new Ranger Splash option, The Splash option provides the elusive orange-and-black side graphics atop black 18-inch wheels. A look inside, and Ford enthusiasts are warmly greeted by orange accent stitching, orange steering wheel, orange shifter knob, and an orange parking brake boot.
