The 2024 Bronco Sport Gets Some Bold New Looks

Ford is bringing two new looks for the 2024 Bronco Sport; customers now will have the opportunity to get the new Black Appearance Package or the Ford Free Wheeling special edition.

Big Bend

The Black Appearance package and the Bronco Sports Free Wheeling are only offered on Big Bend models. The new Free Wheeling special edition Bronco Sport and Black Appearance Package features a rubberized cargo floor, push-button start, heated mirrors, and a second-row MOLLE strap and storage system, minus the overlapping upgrades with the package. Also new to the 2024 Bronco Sport is the new Azure Gray and Desert Sand paint colors.

First Spotted In The 1970s

“Bronco customers appreciate its heritage,” said Jason Hyde, Bronco Sport Marketing Manager. “After such a great response to the reimagined Bronco Sport Free Wheeling project vehicle in 2021, we decided to bring this special edition that ties Bronco Sport to its fun loving roots.”

The special-edition Bronco Sport is a contemporary take on Ford’s Free Wheeling package launched in 1977. Available on the Bronco, F-series trucks, and even vans of the day, the package had black bumpers, white wagon wheels, and tri-color frame decals. The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport Free Wheeling special edition is a trendy addition to the Bronco Sport’s family inspired by the Ford Free Wheeling trucks, vans, and Broncos of the 1970s.

“The Ford Free Wheeling package was developed to appeal to younger customers,” said Ted Ryan, Archives and Heritage Brand Manager for Ford. “The Free Wheeling Broncos were as popular as they were distinctive.”

While the 2024 Bronco Sport Free Wheeling special edition no longer has black steel bumpers and white steel wheels, its hood, sides, and rear liftgate are emblazoned with reflective colorful stripes similar to those visible on its ancestors. The package consists of reflective red, orange, yellow, and silver graphics down the side of the body, on the liftgate, and covering the hood. It consists of a completely unique silver-painted grille, a modified lower front fascia design, and two-tone Bronco badging on the nose. The roof is finished in Shadow Black to match the gloss-black 17-inch wheels with red accents. Inside is Black Onyx and Dark Space Grey with “sunset-colored” seat inserts and specific ombre stitching that extends to the door trim.

The 2024 Bronco Sport on Black Appearance Package

The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport is likewise now available with a Black Appearance package deal that offers moody vibes. With this option, the compact SUV’s grille and its Bronco lettering are absolutely blacked out. Matte black decals at the hood additionally fit the 17-inch wheels. The roof and exterior badges are also black, and the interior receives a new black bucking bronco badge.

“Bronco Sport customers have been asking for the stylish black finishes available on the F-150, Maverick, and Mustang, and we’re delivering with the new Black Appearance Package,” said Hyde. “It also builds on the night sky gauge cluster graphics that Bronco Sport customers see that plays a startup screen featuring the Milky Way.”
