The American automaker hit a significant milestone by selling over 1 million pickups worldwide in 2022. One of the largest contributors to Ford’s success is the Ranger. The Blue Oval’s Pickup sales have climbed by a whopping 112 percent globally over the past decade. And this year alone (2023), over 86,000 Ranger trucks have already been sold.

The Ford engineers went to town on the Ranger’s backbone, enhancing the truck’s fully boxed high-strength steel frame. The Ford engineers also extended the wheelbase and track by about two inches to make it even more stable. And that’s not all – the rear shocks and shock mounts have been moved outboard of the frame rails to ensure better ride and control. 

The Rangers’ ground clearance, approach, and departure angles were also improved to adapt to all types of terrain. With a maximum available towing capacity of 7,500 pounds and a maximum available payload capacity of 1,805 pounds, this truck is eager to bring enthusiasts all the gear necessary for the next adventure.
