It’s been nearly twenty years since the Ford Bronco touched a production line. The revival of the Ford Bronco was revealed at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. By the Summer of 2020, the 2021 Ford Bronco was back and better than ever. Developing the Ford Bronco happened rather expeditiously and with the assistance of the Ford Ranger as well.

The platform that came into question was the Ford T6 platform. The T6 was a whole new platform that North America was unfamiliar with, even though the T6 platform has been utilized internationally for quite some time. The 2021 Ford Bronco rides a recent variation of the T6 platform. In addition, the redesigned 2023 Ford Ranger will also incorporate the T6 platform. 

Ford always intended for the T6 to support the 2021 Ford Bronco instead of the customized platform early rumors may have suggested. Going with the T6 platform just made more sense, mainly because it allowed Ford to create a Bronco that was close in size to the Jeep Wrangler competitor. With the release of the Ford Ranger and Ford Bronco, Ford has proven itself to be an intimidating off-roading catalog.
