A 1992 Ford Explorer Tribute to Jurassic Park for Sale

The legendary film Jurassic Park is known for its groundbreaking depiction of dinosaurs and for featuring the first-generation Ford Explorer. This iconic vehicle transported visitors around the park, giving them a close-up view of the prehistoric creatures. Currently, for sale on Bring a Trailer, this 1992 Ford Explorer is yet another tribute to the beloved movie vehicle. Initially finished in Medium Mocha Metallic, it now sports a red, green, and yellow Jurassic Park-themed livery. The makeover includes yellow Plasti-Dip coated wheels and body side moldings, a front brush guard, a roof rack, taillight guards, and auxiliary lights, all contributing to its unmistakable resemblance to the film’s iconic SUV.

The interior of this tribute vehicle remains untouched mainly, retaining its original Light Sandalwood leather seats and features like air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, locks, mirrors, and the stock AM/FM/cassette stereo system. Under the hood, it houses a naturally aspirated Ford 4.0L V6 engine, producing 160 horsepower and paired with a four-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. It also comes with cool memorabilia, including a Jurassic Park brochure, a LEGO model, walkie-talkies, and replica movie prop night-vision goggles.

In recent years, a few other Jurassic Park-themed Ford Explorers have surfaced for sale. Notably, one was auctioned off in October 2020, fetching $18,500 before being listed again a few months later.
