The 2022 Ford E-Transit Hits the Streets and Entices the Market
The practical examination has begun for the pending E-Transit lineup. The oldest members of the family got a taste of the fleet in mid-August. Ford provided ten models to several different utilities, postal, and municipal fleet operations throughout the United Kingdom, Germany, and Norway.
The first round of testing included several variations of the E-Transit with a payload capacity upward of 4,290 pounds and 3,800 pounds for the more compact vans. The largest van maximal cargo capacity stretches 487.3 cubic feet.
The E-Transit model highlights a 67-kWh battery, with an estimated range of 126 miles, and electric motors with 266-horsepower and 317-lb-feet of torque. The rear axle receives power from the E-Transit stealing the Mach-E motor.
Production of the E-Transit begins in Late 2021 for the US and Spring 2022 in Europe. The grand debut for the company vehicle will happen before the highly anticipated all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning. Missouri plants run on pure vitality as both the gas Transit and E-Transit are constructed in tandem, exclusively for the US market.
“We want to demonstrate that helping customers reduce their environmental impact can go hand-in-hand with improving their productivity. Real-world mileage in customer hands helps us to show the business benefits that E-Transit can deliver, as well as providing valuable feedback on usage patterns and charging behavior so that we can refine the operating experience. We firmly believe in treating our customers like family, and this program highlights the value we place on those close partnerships. -Ford of Europe Market Lead, Dave Petts
Registration for the E-Transit opened earlier in the Spring with a starting price of $44,990. As a result, The early Summer introduced Ford to over 20,000 reservations for the E-Transit.
The release of the mass-market electric cargo van marks history for the Ford E-Transit. Consumers were privy to secondary efforts throughout the years, but once again, Ford relentlessly leads the way.
The average commercial van covers 74 miles daily. The E-Transit offers any business, whether big or small, the versatility of tackling any task daily and an easy resurgence nightly.
