Ford Reveals New ST-Line Trim For Redesigned 2023 Ford Escape

Ford recently revealed the newly redesigned 2023 Ford Escape. The compact SUV arrives with new exterior styling and an interior touch-up. Ford has also provided the 2023 Escape with a sporty new ST-Line trim. There are also several new hybrid versions. Given Ford’s recent success with its EVs like the F-150 Lightning and Mach-E, the Blue Oval wants to continue to offer EVs and hybrids. Supposedly an all-electric Ford Maverick Lightning is in the works. Additionally, the 2023 Ford Escape will be offered in several hybrid configurations. For now, we’ll look at the newly redesigned 2023 Escape and see what consumers can expect. 

2023 Ford Escape Offers More Versatility 

Ford recently unveiled the newly redesigned 2023 Ford Escape. The compact SUV will feature new styling both inside and out. Ford also offers the 2023 Escape with a sporty new ST-Line trim and several hybrid versions. The new ST-Line trim is available in three versions: the ST-Line, ST-Line Select, and ST-Line Elite. The ST-Line is equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine that offers 180 horsepower. It is paired with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The ST-Line Select and Elite feature a 2.0L EcoBoost engine that delivers 250 horsepower. They also pair with all-wheel drive and offer a hybrid option.

The 2023 Ford Escape is also available with an Escape Active and Platinum trim. Both offer hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. The base and Escape Active trims are equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine, and the Platinum has a 2.0L EcoBoost. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are available for both. The 2023 Escape will utilize Ford’s fourth-generation hybrid propulsion system if equipped with the hybrid powertrain. This system combines a 2.5L hybrid engine with an electronic continuously variable transmission to produce 210 horsepower. Owners will see a total charge time of 3.5 hours with a 240-volt Level 2 charge. They will also have several EV drive modes, including Auto EV, EV Now, EV Later, and EV Charge.

Inside the 2023 Ford Escape, owners will note a spacious cabin with seating for five. Depending on the trim, the interior will feature red stitching with dark Ebony materials on the door panels, seat trims, and steering wheel. The compact SUV also features a 13.2-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Owners have a multitude of driver-assist features to use, like adaptive cruise control, predictive speed assist, and a 360-degree camera.
