The Ford Mustang Dark Horse is the most-powerful non-Shelby edition by far. Inside the Dark Horse is an exceptionally engineered fourth-generation Coyote V8 engine yielding 500 horsepower and 418 lb-ft of torque. The Coyote engine endured serious modifications, such as a reimagined balanced crankshaft and forged piston connecting rods. The connecting rods manage high cylinder pressures and piston speeds. 

The Mustang EcoBoost 

The American automaker works hard to provide affordable performance for everyone. As such, the all-new 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost provides the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine yielding 315 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. That’s a lot of potency for a four or six-cylinder engine. 

The Mustang EcoBoost sports car reveals a new engine comprised of Ford’s new Modular Power Cylinder (MPC), engine architecture, and driving prowess in design and function. Most importantly, the extensive refinements enhance the vehicle’s EPA-estimated fuel economy. 

The 2024 Ford Mustang models will become available for the US by the Summer of 2023 from the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Flat Rock, Michigan.
