The Blue Oval keeps the punches rolling as the automaker tormented and razzed us with the factory camper variation of America’s favorite worker bee, the Ford Transit van. The magic pony maker’s Pro division CEO also tweeted a sneak peek video of the Transit van resting in an obscure forest. The YouTube video reads:

“On the road of van life, a few simple lessons can lead to many big adventures. Get ready for the new 2023 Ford Transit Trail.”

Since the COVID-19 Pandemic took the world by storm, camper vans have served as sunshine on wheels for those safely confined to exploring the great outdoors. Camper enthusiasts would equip their full-sized vans with third-party fittings, tailoring their cozy homes on wheels to their desires. Although COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted for a large majority of the world, glamping out in a full-size van while turning it into a tenacious adventurer is an obsession for millions of social bloggers. As a result, many full-sized vans are custom-fitted with ample storage space, murphy beds, and even flushable bathrooms and running water. Furthermore, Ford Upfit refers Transit enthusiasts to third parties for personalization, but now, camper enthusiasts can remove the intermediary and order straight from the Ford factory.

The Blue Ovals YouTube video displays a Transit with chunky all-terrain tires traversing along an unmarked trail. As a matter of fact, the Ford Transit Trail chugs along effortlessly compared to the 2022 Transit. Regrettably, the only news we have to report is the new light show, three horizontal lights on the front bumper, so for now, there are no further details to reveal.

The Ford Transit Tails inspiration, the 2022 Transit, is obtainable with the naturally aspirated V6 engine. In addition, the V6 engine yields 275 horsepower, while the turbocharged V6 engine generates 310 horsepower—both are coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission and support either all-wheel or rear-wheel-drive. The Transit is available in three comfort levels: cargo, cargo crew, and passenger. Moreover, the Transit cargo van premiers at $39,970* (excluding taxes and destination fees) for the 2022 model year; the passenger van commences at $46,645*, so we expect the Transit Trail to hold a higher starting price.

The all-new Transit Trail will erect to life at Ford’s Kansas City Production facility alongside its older siblings, the Transit and E-Transit. Furthermore, the Blue Oval automaker guaranteed it would unravel more information about the Transit Trail by November of this year (2022).
