An all-new over-the-air update was recently released for the Ford Mustang Mach-E. This new update increases the accessibility of the SUV’s infotainment screen. Owners of the Mustang Mach-E can now use their volume knob to control functions like cabin temperature, fan speed, and heated seats. The Mustang Mach-E was one of the first electric vehicles to be released by Ford. Like the F-150 Lightning, the Mustang Mach-E is a highly capable and versatile EV for those wanting to switch to EVs. As Ford continues to offer more EVs like the Ranger Lightning, we will continue to see new updates that improve function and capability. For now, we’ll look at the Ford Mustang Mach-E and see what consumers can expect.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Sees Increased Accessibility

The Ford Mustang Mach-E recently received a new over-the-air update for its Sync 4A infotainment system. Thanks to the update, the all-electric SUV now offers greater accessibility. Owners can use the volume knob on the touchscreen to control their cabin temperature, fan speed, and heated seats. To use the volume knob, owners must tap the icons in the climate panel at the bottom of the screen. While this update may not seem significant, it increases driver safety by allowing drivers to adjust their settings without taking their eyes off the road.

In addition to the increased accessibility, Ford released two new games for the Mustang Mach-E. Called Bridge Battle and Parking Lot, these two games can be played on the Mach-E’s infotainment screen. Bridge Battle is a competitive strategy game in which players must create a bridge to their opponent’s side before their opponent does. Parking Lot is a puzzle game that aims to find the correct pathway out of a busy lot. One fair warning is that drivers should never engage in any available games while their vehicle is in motion.

A final change in Ford’s update was an improvement to the Mach-E’s touchscreen user interface. According to the Blue Oval, the new update simplifies the screen’s layout with improved status bar icons. In-vehicle scheduling has also been added, which notifies owners of upcoming software updates. Given Ford’s attention to detail, the 2023 Mustang Mach-E may be well worth it, especially for those interested in a powerful EV. The electric SUV starts at an MSRP of $46,895 (plus destination fee) and offers impressive performance and versatility. The $7,500 EV tax credit can be used as well.
