The 2023 Ford Transit Trail is Finally Here
For over sixty years, the Blue Oval automaker cultivated a van that totes travelers and their essentials to uncharted territories. There are more motorhomes erected on the Ford chassis than any other carmaker. Nonetheless, Ford Pro recently announced that Transit tradition lives on, only this time with a Trail trim. The Ford Transit Trail is a trail-hungry van that quenches its thirst for the thrill of adventures. Moreover, the Blue Oval pony delivers the same capability, adaptability, and personalization options that produced the Transit.Â
“No matter the task at hand – delivering packages or enjoying life off the grid – customers can rely on their Transit to get the job done. Our decades of experience in the motorhome industry and insights from the van-life community helped us design a vehicle that makes it easier for adventure seekers to start their next journey.” – Ford Pro CEO Ted Cannis.Â
Home on WheelsÂ
The Ford Transit Trail offers a high roof with extended-length configurations, providing caravaners with up to 487 cubic feet of cargo capacity. Additionally, the high-roof variant delivers 6 feet, 5-inches of standing room for our taller enthusiasts. Moreover, the cargo area floor for the extended-length Transit Trail surpasses 14 feet.Â
The van contains areas designed explicitly for cabinetry, shelving, bedding, and much more. In addition, there’s privacy glass and the available roof vent fan to create a more comfortable living experience inside the Transit Trail. Further, some other comforts the adventure-seeking Ford van offers for the cabin are an overhead shelf, luminescent sun visors, plus driver and passenger swivel seats.Â
There’s also an optional Upfitter Package that assists with travelers’ power-oriented accessories. For example, the Upfitter Package includes an exterior light bar, high-capacity upfitter switches, a bustier center console, an auxiliary fuse panel with a high-spec interface connector, dual AGM batteries, and a modified vehicle wiring system.Â
The Transit Trail is Built Ford ToughÂ
Since the Transit Trail is a part of the Transit family of vans, the chassis is refined and tuned to the melody of Built Ford Tough durability standards. So naturally, the robust pony maintains the automaker’s 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.Â
Ford Transit Trail owners also favor access to the Ford Pro network of upfitters and interior installers. Enthusiasts can travel with the confidence of the Blue Oval behind them, with over 3,000 maintenance and service centers available for upkeep. Furthermore, travelers gain access to a growing fleet of over 800 mobile service vans for those just-in-case moments.Â
