The 2023 Ford Ranger will arrive with several new updates. The mid-size pickup truck features a new redesign and an all-new Raptor trim. The Ranger offers impressive capability and versatility, and its all-new Raptor trim will further increase its capability. Vehicles with a Raptor trim belong to the Blue Oval’s Raptor family. Many vehicles within this family see increased capability and performance. Another variant of the Ford Ranger that’s on its way is an electric version called the Ranger Lightning. With the immense success of the F-150 Lightning and Mach-E, Ford wants to offer additional EVs. For now, we’ll look at the 2023 Ford Ranger and see what consumers can expect.

All-New Ford Ranger to Feature New Updates

The 2023 Ford Ranger will feature several new updates, including a recent redesign. The mid-size pickup truck also receives a new Raptor trim, providing it with increased performance and capability. Looking at the latest updates, the Ranger gets a power roller shutter option for the truck bed and a plastic drop-in bed liner. The pickup also gets an integrated trailer brake controller. Those who opt for an XL cab chassis trim also receive a rearview camera. Additional updates for the Ranger include an optional wheel pack for the Ranger Wildtrak. This wheel pack features 20-inch machined-face alloy wheels wrapped in all-season tires. An optional Touring Pack also features a cargo management system and auxiliary switch bank.

Owners of the Ford Ranger can select either a four-door crew cab configuration or an extended cab setup with two rear half doors. For its engine, the mid-size pickup will carry its same turbocharged 2.3L four-cylinder engine. A potential rumor is that the 2023 Ranger may see a new turbodiesel V6 engine, but Ford has not confirmed it. The 2.3L offers 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque and pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Owners may have the option of a six-speed manual transmission, however.

Inside the Ford Ranger, consumers will note a modern cabin with a redesigned digital gauge cluster. The Ranger’s dashboard features new textured material, and its controls and buttons have been digitized. For its infotainment screen, the pickup features a 10.1-inch display screen. There’s also an option for a larger 12.1-inch screen. Ford has added several storage cubbies throughout the truck, including a hidden upper glove box in the dashboard. For pricing, it’s expected that the 2023 Ford Ranger will see a slight price increase, bringing its MSRP to $36,180 (plus destination fee). We’ll learn more about the mid-size pickup when it officially releases, but it looks promising so far.
